[Kunst / Art]. Heavy large 4to. The 1907 collection of the famous art periodical 'The Studio' containing reviews and notices on exhibitions, art school notes, Studio-Talk, etc. bound in three half-leather volumes. Contemporary binding, walnut leather on spine and corners w. gilt lettering on spine, boards w. design in relief. Numerous b/w in-text and full page illustrations and about 18 colour plates in each vol. protected by tissue guards (may have some foxing) plus frontispiece. Decorated eps. Externals of books are somewhat rubbed, esp. on spine ends, edges, and corners (vol. III has half of the last fep torn out). Internals are generally in very good condition, but for private stamp and name on page down recto and ffep. with possible off-setting to verso, respectively. Pages are printed on thick smooth paper and may have just a touch of darkening and occasional faint foxing due to age. Binding is sound, although the books tend to bend slightly to the right(when seen from the spine). Considered extremely scarse in this form, none other found on-line anywhere. In good condition given age. A very nice set overall.
